The most significant thing that I’ve learned from Green City Force is to keep striving to become the leader I am destined to be in my future career, moving forward and reaching my highest potential while spreading my knowledge about sustainability. Before Green City Force I was working at Skechers shoe store for about a year and a half, but I felt like there was no growth opportunity for me and I couldn’t see myself in the retail industry. I needed something that truly rewarded me for hard work and dedication and felt like Green City Force was that great stepping stool into that transition. Last but not least I want to thank all of GCF. I’d especially like to thank my team leaders, Andrew & Carson for being amazing team leaders. I also want to thank Stephanie Klocke for her personal development, resúme building and interviewing tips which helped me land a great job before the service term ended, I also want to thank Domingo for choosing me as an intern for Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It was a great hands on experience and in depth learning about composting. I enjoyed working at the Red Hook Farm during my term.
