Green City Force was featured in four local news outlets this week! The press, organized in coordination with NYCHA, focused on the ongoing recruitment efforts for the Urban Farm Corps, starting service on May 1st. Reporters visited the Howard Houses Farm, part of Farms at NYCHA, a project of Building Healthy Communities mayoral initiative, a partnership between NYCHA, The Fund for Public Health in New York, local community based partners Isabahlia Ladies of Elegance, East New York Farms, Added Value and Harlem Grown, and GCF.

Audiences got a glimpse of the Howard Farm, soon to bloom. The coverage featured GCF Love Where You Live AmeriCorps Member Edna McKay, Team Leader Josh Owens and Director of Urban Agriculture Initiatives and Land Improvement Jennifer Tirado.
